Writer and Director: Nicholas Briggs
Producer: Gary Russell
Running Time: 2 hours, 5 minutes
Summary: Gallifrey is threatened by the Knights of Velyshaa. Meanwhile, the 5th, 6th, and 7th Doctors each encounter an individual crisis, linking them to each other. The crises are the work of the Sirens of Time.
Review: Just because it’s the first story Big Finish ever released doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best. Like Doctor Who itself, the Big Finish stories took quite some time to get good. That doesn’t necessarily mean this is bad, far from it. The acting is great. The main flaw is how episodic the story is. Each Doctor has his own separate part, and for a multi-doctor story, there’s very little interaction between the Doctors. The interactions don’t even occur until the final part. The story feels choppy. However, I’m still recommending this simply because it’s the first story.
Overall Rating: 5/10
Trivia: Many of the players in the supporting cast would go on to play other characters, including Nicholas Briggs, Maggie Stables, and Sarah Mowat.
