I, Davros: Guilt

guilt

Writer: Scott Alan Woodard

Director: Gary Russell

Running Time: 2 hours, 30 minutes

Summary: The Thals attempt to kidnap Davros in a desperate measure to stop his experiments. Lieutenant Nyder leads to squad to rescue Davros. But Davros is now handicapped and deformed. He is now a changed man, fueled by revenge to continue his experiments. Now he wishes to annihilate the Thal race with a new weapon–the Daleks.

Review: This is the final chapter in the series, and it is a great finale. It is fascinating to see how Davros became the frightening figure we know today. Like the best villains, he believes that his methods are the correct ones. It was great to hear Peter Niles reprise his role as Nyder from “Genesis of the Daleks”. Everything is now full circle, and the audience is now at the point that was seen in that landmark episode, so it is fitting to meet Nyder as he was originally introduced to Davros. The concluding scene is terrifying and I highly recommend the entire series.

Overall Review: 10/10

Trivia: This was Gary Russell’s final work with Big Finish.
